Syntax: DATE or DATE MM-DD-YY Use command to change System Date. This date is recorded in File Directory when Files are created or modified. Syntax: TIME or TIME HH:MM:SS.XX Use command to change System Time. This time is recorded in File Directory when Files are created or modified. Syntax: CHDIR D:P or CD D:P Use command to change current or default Directory. Syntax: DIR S:P\F/P/W Use command to display all or specified Files of Source Directory. DOS will first seek a matching Path and then Files if \ not entered. Syntax: MKDIR D:P or MD D:P Use command to create a new Subdirectory. DOS BOSS will change to this Subdirectory after creation. Syntax: RMDIR D:P or RD D:P Use command to remove a Subdirectory. All Files including Hidden must first be deleted. Root Directory may not be removed. Syntax: N/A Use command to change Name of specified Subdirectory. DOS BOSS will change to this Subdirectory if not current or default. Syntax: TREE T:/F Use command to display Paths and optional Files of Target drive. Syntax: TYPE S:P\F Use command to display contents of specified Source File. Syntax: N/A Use command to edit a typed line before printing. Depress ALT P Keys to select Cursor Return option after printing of line. Syntax: ATTRIB +R-R+A-A T:P\F/S Use command to display or change Attribute of specified Target File. Syntax: BACKUP S:P\F T:/PARAMETERS Use command to back up specified Files from Source Drive to Target Drive. Do not confuse with DISKCOPY or COPY commands. Syntax: COMP S:P\F T:P\F Use command to compare specified Source Files to specified Target Files. Use DISKCOMP to to compare entire diskettes. Syntax: COPY S:P\F T:P\F/A/B/V Use command to copy specified Files from Source to Target. Do not confuse with BACKUP command. Syntax: DEL T:P\F or ERASE T:P\F Use command to delete specified Target Files. Syntax: N/A Use command to move specified Files from Source to Target. Files may also be renamed during this process. Syntax: RECOVER S:P\F Use command to recover specified Source Files with defective sectors. Editing of File data may be necessary after this process.
